Kosjerić municipality is located in Western Serbia, between Valjevo and Užice. It includes the upper catchment and water sources of Skrapež river and Kladoroba and extends to the North, to the slopes of two mountains Maljen ( 1102 m altitude ) and Povlen ( 1346 m altitude). To the South, Kosjerić municipality reaches to mountain Crnokosa ( 800 m altitude ) and Jelova Gora. The municipality comprises the north part of Zlatibor region. It covers an area of 358 m2 and consists of 27 settlements, with 12 500 habitants.
Kosjerić town is central part of municipality Kosjerić. It has 4 000 citizens. Kosjerić is situated on the main way and rail routes connecting the North of Serbia to the Adriatic. In the vicinity are the famous mountain centres and cities: Divčibare, Zlatibor, Tara. Valjevo, Užice, Čačak, Belgrade and Novi Sad.
Continental and sub mountain climate of Kosjerić is ideal for sports training, recreation, children and persons of all ages.

is located in the Seča Reka village, 7 km from Kosjerić. It is dedicated to St. George, originating from the 15th century. The church is many times burned and rebuilt. Current appearance it got in 1812, in time Karađorđe’s rule.
The central part of iconostasis presents Golden Gate, taken during the migration from Herzegovina. The front door was decorated with carving. There are some relics from the Mouth Athos. Around the church are many monuments – roadside, raise the fallen soldiers in the Balkan wars, which makes this church unique.
the mountain plateau, located 7 km form center of Kosjerić. It is situated at 1022 m altitude. From here you can see much better. Every year, top of the town organizes “Shepherd days”, tourist- cultural event, which pretend to preserve cultural heritage and promotion of rural tourism.
Skakavci village was named after an unusual waterfall that “bounce”. During the hot summer days, there are swimmers at waterfall. The water is clean and cold.
At the foot of Povlen, in Donji Taor village, there is a true natural attractions of this area – the source of Skrapež river, known as Taor springs. It springs from the mountain, then flows near meadows in the cascading waterfalls, plunges to discharge into the Skrapež river.
Miloš Obrenović, prince of Serbia, was born in the village Gornja Dobrinja in 1780. He was the founder of dynasty Obrenović, who ruled Serbia since mid-  nineteenth century. In his birthplace, there is a memorial complex with his name. There are the church St. Peter and Pavle, the tower, balcony, fountain and the monument to Prince Miloš.
The beautiful cave without name, However, the village is named after the cave.
It is located in Potpeć ( “village of the cave” ), 14 km southest of Užice, 35 km from Kosjerić. Cave Potpeć is included in all five caves in Serbia, intended for tourist visiting. This magnificent work of nature is the most important speleological sites in western Serbia. The upper part of cave, 555 m long, arranged a visit for tourists. Reached by trail, with 700 steps. The cave hole, 72 m high, is one of the largest cave hole of Balkan.
A real gem, situated on the West Morava river, between the mountains Ovčar and Kablar, 39 km from Kosjerić. Everything here is harmonious and very colorful: flora, fauna, hot springs and mineral waters, sources of clean drinking water, rapids, forests, fresh mountain air. In addition to the real natural perfection, for Ovčar – Kablar Gorge’s image are responsible many worthy builders. Because of a lot of monasteries, this part of Serbia is well known as “Serbian Mount Athos”. There are about 10 monasteries and 2 saint places ( church of St. Sava and church – cave Kađenica ).
The famous tourist site, 13 km form Bajina Bašta and 90 km from Kosjerić. Perućac is small, quiet and idyllic location, situated on the right bank of Drina river. It is ideal for picnics and relaxation. It is known for its Vrelo river, hydroelectric and lake, made for hydropower. The lake, 52 km in length, stretches to Višegrad and Andrić’s “Bridge on Drina”. A special attraction is the summer boating.
